Can anyone help? I thought I had it sewn up by thinking you only had the auto-immune disease P.A if you had IF anti-bodies. I am strongly positive for gastric parietal cell anti-bodies but I don't have IFAB'S.
I was very anaemic when I found I had a B12 of 173 (not too low) but lower than norm levels, after trying iron supps and liver for a couple of months all was ok except the B12 never increased. My GP just tells me I have stomach problems and need injections for life, ok fair do's and I have improved dramatically since my jabs, but what do I have B12 def or Pernicious Anaemia???
any replies greatly welcomed!
