Hi,
Thank you for voicing so clearly what I and possibly others diagnosed with B12 /folate deficiency experienced at the GP. I was diagnosed with B12 and folic acid deficiency in 2004 after many tests including bowel examinations and Ovarian cysts !My doctor told me I had the B12 level of a very elderly person. I was 34 yrs old and ate a very well balanced diet so did not understand the diagnosis! I did innitially feel that the diagnosis was made as a treatment for depression as there must be something wrong with me mentally as they could not find a cause for my symptoms. ( My symptoms ticked all the boxes for B12 deficiency) I was perscribed folic acid and B12 injections and felt well again very quickly. I have been feeling the same symptoms again and visited my gp .Your comments have made me think about what my drs notes say and wonder whether an incorrect diagnosis of depression was made at the time . I think I will ask that it be removed if there. I just received my first B12 injection today and have been perscribed folic acid again. Sorry that my communication is unclear .I hope the fog will lift again very soon.
Thanks Again
